The night of the Royal Variety performance in Blackpool, Lady Gaga had the opportunity to meet the Queen and oh my what an impression she must have given! Described as wearing an Elizabethan style dress which is debatable, she was also described as toning her outrageous style for the Queen...wow if this is toning down you can imagine what she normally wears but, Lady Gaga certainly made a statement. God knows why she picked this outfit they seem to get more extravagant every time we see her but at least it wasn't like her usual skimpy clothes considering she was meeting the Queen.

For her performance Lady Gaga was going to perform a 'suicidal act' in which she pretends to stab herself and fake blood would appear, luckily she was banned from doing this as it wasn't appropriate for the show.....hmm i wonder why?

Apparently she was also told not to speak unless she was spoken to, who knows what she may have said to the Queen otherwise.

Apart from Lady Gaga other acts such as Alexandra Burke, Miley Cyrus and Peter Kay performed.

New Moon

Tonight me and a few of my housemates went to see the new Twilight series...New Moon! Obviously it was just us girls from my house who went to see it. It was still packed in the cinema considering it had been out a a little while already. The whole cinema was mainly filled with teenage girls, well no surprise there really.
This film was certainly not as good as the first one which is normal for films. It's not hard to work out why this film was such an attraction with Jacob (Taylor
Lautner) spending most of the film stripped to the waist and with his new muscly body (not that I'm complaining). It also contains slightly weird humour as well but i have to say it did make us laugh but this film doesn't seem to focus on the characters like it did in the first film.
This film seems to have used all the typical conventions to try and grab girls attention but i suppose u can't blame them, girls were certainly keen to see this film especially when Edward (Robert
Pattinson) is in it. To be honest I really don't see the obsession with Edward but was quite surprised when he wasn't in much of the film but according to the book this is what happens but its always different when u watch the story than when you read it and the majority of the time the book is better.
However, as much as i may have been criticising the film i actually did really enjoy it and am looking forward to the next one.
